smooth, aged purple leaf shu pu’er with a rich, rounded body and a clean, naturally sweet profile.
Zi Cha 2012 is a shu (ripe) pu’er from Yunnan made from purple leaf varietal tea, known for its distinct character and higher anthocyanin content. This material produces a different profile from traditional shu pu’er, often showing greater clarity and sweetness.
It offers a full, velvety body with notes of earth, dark fruit, and gentle sweetness, supported by a smooth texture and a clean finish. Compared to standard shu pu’er, purple leaf material can present a more refined and slightly fruit-forward profile while retaining depth.
Crafted using traditional methods and aged to allow the fermentation character to integrate.
Ideal for those who enjoy smooth, aged pu’er with a cleaner, slightly sweeter profile.
